From: campbell@ufomind.com (Glenn Campbell, Las Vegas) Date: Fri, 14 Mar 1997 18:52:04 -0800 Subject: Triangle Sightings in Arizona From: [Withheld by request] Date: Fri, 14 Mar 1997 18:25:00 Subject: Arizona UFO Sightings The local news (KNXV, Channel 15) in Phoenix reported a massive wave of UFO sightings last night (3/13/1997), with sightings of a large, black, triagular object with white lights at the corners. There was some pretty good videotape showing the lights (couldn't see the object). The sightings started in Prescott, AZ, and then were sequentially reported in Glendale, Phoenix, and Tucson over the course of 40 minutes. This is about a 200 mile distance, giving an average speed of 300 MPH. The lights on the videotape shown appeared fairly low, and all the observers that spoke on the news reported it as low and moving; the tape didn't show movement that fast, but it could have been moving away. At least one commercial airline pilot reported the object enroute to landing, telling the ATC that it was directly above him. Phoenix radar showed nothing, and local FAA officials had no explaination, and the news reported that the local air force base (Luke AFB) didn't return calls. The news said local emergency officials usually get one or two UFO reports a day, but they logged "thousands" of calls last night.
