Thanks, Ken --> http://www.vvcs.com/a51/photos/monument2.html Is a pretty much standard inscription of a dedication of an early Mormon religious location. The Mormon church believe in a kind of Quasi-Old Testament belief that the "keys" to heaven are passed on to those who hold the priesthood. Virtually every male who becomes a member of the church eventually becomes a member of the "Aaronic" priesthood. This is something akin to a "bar mitzvah" or coming of age ritual, passage of manhood thing. This allows them certain rights to perform various services within the church, and from there they study to become members of the Melchezdik (sp - sorry it's late and my memory doesn't serve me well). Once they have become members of the Melchezdik priesthood they are in essence "full members" of the church. In basics, you're looking at a monument to someone's bar mitzvah from the turn of the century. If you're interested in more info on Dr. Glendenning I would suggest you check out the Mormon church's Genealogical databases. Since Genealogy plays a highly important part of the church's goings on, you can almost be certain there is information there about the good Dr. You've probably been told most of this, but I figured it was worth tossing in my two cents worth. It's more a case of religious fervor than alien influence. But... ya never know, right? I'm a former Mormon myself so most of this is old hat to me living so close to Salt Lake and all I see monuments like this one a lot out in the hills. All of the stuff on it is pretty much standard stuff for the church's people of that time period. ------------- Virtual Village Communication Services Website Development & Design Clinton, Massachusetts info@vvcs.com - www.vvcs.com FirstClass BBS: 508-368-4222 Member Wachusett Chamber of Commerce
