From: campbell@ufomind.com (Glenn Campbell, Las Vegas) Date: Wed, 26 Mar 1997 20:34:53 -0800 Subject: Large, Slow Aircraft Sighted at Edwards AFB An aviation watcher with close ties to Edwards AFB reported this to me around Mar. 10. He is trying to follow up. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Several workers at the B-2 test facility at Edwards South Base reported seeing an unusual aircraft one recent evening. In the dark, it was difficult to accurately determine the size and altitude. The witnesses estimated it to have been large "like a B-52" and flying "at about 300 or 400 feet abouve the ground." It passed over the munitions storage area south of South Base, and was flying extremely slow. One witness said he "thought an ordinary aircraft would stall at that speed." Another said it was so slow, he thought it was hovering. All agreed that it had the standard red and green lights on the wingtips, and that it produced no sound.
