It is not my intention to further engage or provoke Ms. Spader in the meantime. This much is true: I do have an in-law who calls me "Goober," usually with a smirk. Even my wife and kids call me "Goober"! We do live about a mile and a half from Lazar's house (which I have never seen, even to drive by). We're in the phone book. The vague child molestation rumors were started by conspiracy researcher Gary Schultz in 1993 following the "Ultimate UFO Seminar," during which he and I had some conflict. (I mentioned Schultz's claims to Gene Huff around then, feeling that as a normal person he would laugh them off as I did.) The charges have been perpetuated by Pat Travis at the Little A'Le'Inn following our break-up. (She thoughtfully warned my future wife about my proclivities and is a suspected carrier in several other instances.) The claims are varied but usually include some reference to my homosexuality and often state that I came to Rachel to escape child molestation charges elsewhere. Trouble is, no one can pinpoint just where those charges were brought -- like in what city and state -- or exactly whom I have had homosexual relations with. (I'd confess if I could, but I have to have something specific to confess to.) Some of the details in Ms. Spader's report suggest that she has been talking to Pat Travis on the phone recently, which constitutes a form of research I suppose.
