Go to http://members.tripod.com/~bswearin/ and you will see that I have put together a large satellite section of the Nellis complex from the nuclear craters in Yucca flats across Area 51 and Papoose Lake to the eastern entrance of Area 51. If your browser allows you to scroll around then you will see the entire picture. It is a large picture (500K) and almost ate up the remaining space I am allowed on the host server so it may take awhile to load. Due to the varying lighting conditions when the satellites made their passes thoughout the year, some sections are darker than others and I used Photoshop to brighten them up a bit and by doing so, some detail was lost. The Groom Lake and Papoose Lake quadrangles were particularly dark before the processing. If anyone can give me any pointers to use Photoshop more effectively to make a seamless mosiac, I would appreciate it. Thanks, Bill Swearingen P.S. This can be used in conjunction with Digital Elevation Model data from the U.S.G.S. to make a nice terrain fly through using a 3D rendering package. Go for it.
