Las Vegas Aircraft Frequency Spectrum

These are VHF (118-136 Mhz) and UHF (225-400 Mhz) aircraft frequencies actually heard from the ground in the Las Vegas area. Date following frequency is last date of confirmed reception (YYMMDD) and initials of person receiving. For confirmed reception, listener must hear call sign or enough information to positively confirm function. Dates without description indicate that clear voice was heard on this channel but not enough to identify. Frequencies without dates or description were recorded by scanner on automatic search but not heard. Frequencies with description but no date were obtained from other sources and have not been confirmed.

Assistance is requested from visitors in verifying these frequencies and collecting new ones. (Must be recievable from ground in Las Vegas area.)

"Flightwatch" is the radio call sign for an Enroute flight advisory service (EFAS) Usually residing on 122.0 Mhz, up to date weather advisories, tailored to your flight, may be obtained, between 6am to 10pm, from a specialist at an FAA Flight Service Station. At an altitude of at least 5,000 feet, contact should be available anywhere in the conterminous U.S. This service may be accessed by the pilots of any aircraft. For flights above 18,000 feet, each Air Route Traffic Control Center area is allocated it's own frequency. These communications may also be heard transmitted over a VHF Omniderectional beacon in the 118-120MHz range.
