A raw archive of about 700 pages of official documents relating to UFOs, released by the CIA under the Freedom of Information Act. Each document in stored in both GIF and TIFF format, readable by both PCs and Macs. The main problem is, there is no meaningful index, and files have ambiguous names, so all you can do is pick a document at random to look at. Most of the documents we viewed seemed fairly routine, mentioning UFOs in some capacity but not indicating any deep interest in the topic by the CIA. You will experience a different sampling of this vast archive, and you must to write down the filenames if you ever expect to find the same documents again. The CD is probably worth the price for the sheer volume of documents and the amusement of random browsing, but the absence of an index prevents it from being a serious research tool. -- Glenn Campbell
