Using This Guide

This guide is intended to be a reference work for researchers interested in the NTS, for armchair tourists, and as a guide for those who visit the site itself. The guide is divided into six chapters based on the six distinct vicinities of the NTS. The perimeters of these vicinities are determined by the general usage of the land in that area. The Points of Interest described in the guide are laid out in a counter-clockwise manner, starting from the main gate and Mercury, and follows the overall route a hypothetical tour might travel, though it would take a few days of touring to see everything described in the guide. All of the Points ot Interest described in the text are located on the Test Site map located at the back of this guide, and there is also an index to locate specific sites quickly.

However much we have tried to be accurate and current, there may he errors, due at least in part, to the dynamic nature of informtion about the NTS. What is classified this week may he common knowledge the next Please let us know about any errors you encounter so that we may include them in future editions of the NTS Guide.
