 Our Review |
Opinion of the webmaster, subject to debate  |
Deals with the history of alleged alien
contact with humans from a different perspective than that
of the 'extra-terrestrial hypothesis." Vallee's premise is
that UFOnauts are actually beings from a parallel dimension
and are the same entities described in the world's
folkloric stories as elves, leprechans, djinn, faeries,
devas, demons, angels, etc.

From the Book Cover
The acclaimed UFO authority reveals startling new facts about the earth,
history of alien visitors-and how their acts have been repeatedly
misinterpreted.
Million-Copy Bestselling Author Dr. Jacques Vallee
With a foreword by Whitley Strieber
The truth about the aliens among us
Throughout the modern UFO era, thousands of honest scientists and informed
laymen have seen through the official denials, the suppressions, and the
whitewash and realized that, indeed, we are not alone. To them, author
Jacques Vallee, the world's most renowned UFO expert, presents a tantalizing
question. What if-just if-these alien visitors are not from other planets?
What if they have always been among us? What if we can finally prove the case
to which so much evidence points: That they have lived on earth for
centuries, perhaps from the beginning of time. That they may inhabit another
dimension, a dimension so startlingly different from our own that our
consciousness lurches to experience it religiously. At once exhilarative and
persuasive, Vallee's brilliant insights include a metaphysical odyssey
through some of the most mystifying incidents in religious and mythological
lore. The miraculous visions of Lady of Fatima in 1917. The "cloudships" said
to have visited medieval France. The ancient Tzeltal Indians of Mexico
kidnapped by flying half humans. With his unparalleled knowledge of thousands
of close encounters, Vallee-the UFO authority celebrated in Steven
Spielberg's Close Encounters of the Third Kind-constructs and eye-opening,
yet ultimately irresistible theory: one that reveals the shocking reality of
the ever present, ever-powerful interdimensional aliens of Earth...and
humanity's persistent inability to understand them.

About the Author
Dr. Jacques Vallee, a former principal investigator on Department of Defense
computer networking projects, was born in France where he was trained in
astrophysics. He moved to the United States in 1962 and received his Ph. D.
in computer science in 1967 from Northwestern University, where he was a
close associate of the late Dr. J. Allen Hynek. The author of numerous
articles and three books about high technology, Dr. Vallee first became
interested in the subject of UFOs when he witnessed the destruction of
tracking tapes of unknown objects at a major observatory. His research into
the phenomenon has taken him to many places in the U.S. and to many countries
around the world, including France, Scotland, Australia, and Brazil. His
unique approach to this phenomenon was crystallized when he served as the
real-life model for the character of the French scientist played by Francois
Truffaut in Steven Spielbirg's film Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
Dr. Vallee lives in San Francisco with his wife and two children.
