This is a general UFO reference, more a dictionary than an encyclopedia. While not as comprehensive as the massive UFO encyclopedias by Clark, this book has a major advantage: It's cheap! It's written in a very conservative, no-nonsense manner. Just the facts, ma'am. There is a reasonable collection of photos, some color. It lacks in not providing good bibliographic references for further studing on the cases listed, only a short list at the end of the book. It is worthwhile at this low price, but you ought to get "Above Top Secret" first, and you'll never look at this encyclopedia's if you have Clark's. The 1998 release of The UFO Book: Encyclopedia of the Extraterrestrial knocks the wind out of this much smaller book, so we have reduced the price of Spencer's book to make it more competitive.
