This volume is essentially composed of two books, each of which would be well worth the price alone. The first is a series of fascinating UFO stories, many of which have not been reported elsewhere. The second is a lengthy catalog of reported UFO landings between 1868 and 1968. The "Magonia" in the title refers to a fairyland which is common to legends of many ancient cultures. Vallee does not dismiss UFOs as myth, but see a continuum between modern UFO encounters and fairy stories of the distant past. ¶ The second half of the book consists of a chronological catalog of reported UFO landings, with a paragraph description for each, along with its source. Clearly, years of work went into this catalog. -- Glenn Campbell
