ChiGangWars_
Chicago Gang Wars of the Roaring Twenties Illustrated (used booklet) By unstated.
1931 (1980?), unstated publisher, 64pp, magazine-style booklet, 11x8.5". B+W newspaper photos throughout, a modern reprint of a vintage publication.
(VG)
An undated, magazine-style publication showing no author name and no publisher.
In a series of illustrated articles, the Chicago gang wars of the Prohibition Era are
described, including the St. Valentine's Massacre, Al Capone and various gangsters.
Appears to be a modern reprint of a vintage tabloid publication. Capone is mentioned
as still the reining mob chief, so the text was written before his successful
prosecution on tax evasion charges. Murders as spoken of as recent and there
are no dates mentioned later than 1930. The price on the cover is $10.00, so this printing
was probably in the 1980s or 1990s.
An interesting contemporaneous account of the the gang wars.
