This is the most useful map we've found for snooping around Los Alamos National Laboratory. Although the map does not show much detail of the lab itself, it does show most of the hiking trails and dirt roads approaching the technical areas. LANL facilities become less mysterious if you know there is a trail nearby or that you can view the site from a nearby mesa. The presence of a trail provides a good indication of whether the area is open to the public, although caution should still be exercised in the field.

Los Alamos Hiking & Jeep Trails Map Covers all of Los Alamos County, most of Bandelier National Monument and parts of Sante Fe National Forest
This map features hiking trails and dirt roads printed over a USGS base map. In our experience, Forest Service roads are show in more detail and accuracy on this map than in the official Sante Fe Forest maps. Most trails have apparently been field checked, and those that have not been are clearly delineated as such.
The scale is 1:50,000 (1" = 0.8 mi.). Bounded by: 106°30', 106°7'30", 35°37'30", 36°.
