This is the most detailed map of the Groom Lake Base available to the public this side of Freedom Ridge. If you had a better map than this, you'd be in jail! This map, although part of a 3 map set, may be purchased separately. The map is 19" x 25" and focuses on the buildings, roads, and facilities of the main part of the base. The map scale is a large 1" = 400' for easy reading and discerning of what's what. The map is in "pseudo blueline" style and is printed on high-quality 70 pound map stock. Prepared for the Area 51 Research Center by aviation historian Peter Merlin, based on satellite imagery and other sources. -- tm

Note: Some of the outlying facilities listed in the building directory may not be shown on this detailed map of the main base area, but are found instead on one of the other two larger scale maps that are part of the entire mapset. The majority of the buildings and facilities in the building directory are on this map.
An incredible amount of research went into this map, making it a one of a kind document. This is a vital document and necessary reference for anyone with a strong interest in what's going on at Groom Lake.
