Miscellaneous
Years after his first abduction, Philip awoke in his room to find
himself totally paralyzed. He sensed a presence, a silhouette, at
the window, behind his head. Light suffused the room. In moments,
the paralysis left him. He dressed and went outside. Following mental
directions, like a "roadmap in his mind," he ascended the hill behind
his house to the grounds of the deserted mansion. Feeling inquisitive
and without fear, he approached a line of figures standing behind
the house. Nearby, there was a "flying saucer" and, in some way, he
next found himself reclining inside a domed room filled with hazy
light. Two small glowing balls or spheres hovered on either side of
his head, which again calmed him. Two types of figures are associated
with this experience: a pinkish, flesh-colored humanoid with "metallic
eyes" and translucent skin, and a metallic, very shiny, robotlike
figure with jointed, armored hands. Exactly how Philip returned to
his room is still unclear....
There are three visual sightings made by the astronauts while in orbit
which, in the judgment of the writer, have not been adequately explained.
These are:
- Gemini 4, Astronaut McDivitt. Observation of a cylindrical
object with a protuberance.
- Gemini 4, Astronaut McDivitt. Observation of a moving
bright light at a higher level than the Gemini spacecraft.
- Gemini 7, Astronaut Borman saw what he referred to as
a "bogey" flying in formation with the spacecraft.
. . . The training and perspicacity of the astronauts put their reports
of sightings in the highest category of credibility .... Especially
puzzling is the first one on the list, the daytime sighting of an
object showing details such as arms (antennas?) protruding from an
object having a noticeable angular extension.
--Final Report of the Scientific Study of Unidentified
Flying Objects conducted for the U.S. Air Force, Dr. Edward
Condon, project director.
So far, only one thing is certain: it is not just a rumor: something
is seen.
--Dr. Carl G. Jung, 1954. (Emphasis his.)
