Until now, the Great Pyramid has stood alone as a testament to the advanced science of the ancient Egyptians, and sceptics have thus tried to play down its significance. But Alan Alford's discovery of modern astronomical knowledge at the heart of Egyptian religion provides a much-needed corroboration of an 'ancient wisdom' from a 'lost race'. Alford brings a new dimension to this debate, presenting in-depth academic arguments which address all of the objections recently raised by Egyptologists against the 'lost race' scenario. He also brings considerable new evidence to the table which conclusively proves that the Giza Pyramids were 'adopted' and not built by the Egyptian kings Khufu and Khafre.
Unusually, for such a controversial book, 'The Phoenix Solution' has won support from the eminent English historian Michael Rice (author of several books on ancient Egypt) who has hailed Alford's work as 'a tremendous thesis', which 'presents an entirely new dimension' to Egyptology. In his foreword to 'The Phoenix Solution', Michael Rice rates Alford's thesis as being of 'comparable significance' to Hamlet's Mill (by de Santillana & von Dechend) and the various works of the great mythologist Joseph Campbell. In other words, 'The Phoenix Solution' is probably the most important book to be published on ancient Egypt in the last 30 years.
In a nutshell, Alford's theory is that a pre-dynastic race built the Great Pyramid and deposited at Giza certain scientific records which specifically included the catastrophic history of our solar system and the subsequent development of life on Earth. Alford presents overwhelming evidence that the ancient Egyptian religion was an 'exploded planet cult', and suggests that they received this scientific theory when they themselves discovered the legendary 'Hall of Records' at least 6,000 years ago. This profound knowledge - of catastrophism in the heavens and on Earth - was adopted by the emerging Dynastic elite as a means of legitimising their rule as 'divine' kings. Over the passing centuries, the religious knowledge became encoded into the Pyramid Texts and numerous other enigmatic myths and legends. But after several thousands years the original meaning of these myths was lost, and the remnants of the sacred Egyptian knowledge became occulted by the emergence of modern religions. Only now has it become possible for Alford to recapture the ancient wisdom, as a result of the painstaking work of Egyptologists during the past two centuries, and the recent pioneering work of astronomer Dr Tom Van Flandern.
Although the contents of the 'Hall of Records' have now been found, and exist in translated form, the awesome implications of the Egyptian exploded planet cult are still being assessed, and much work remains to be done. Alan Alford has come to several firm conclusions regarding ancient mythology, the most important being that 'Atlantis' was not a terrestrial 'island' which sank beneath the Earth's seas, but a planetary 'island' which exploded and was 'drowned' in the watery abyss of space. Alford has also tentatively identified connections to the origins of modern religion (including the myths of Jesus, John, Mary and Christianity), the modern concepts of Heaven, Hell, God and the Afterlife, the original meaning of Biblical prophesy, and the true meaning of the 'Holy Grail'. All of the latter issues will be subject to an in-depth treatment in Alford's next book.
In summary, 'The Phoenix Solution' is a landmark book in our quest for knowledge of the past, and is destined to become a classic in Egyptology and ancient wisdom circles.
