A record of Chupacabras encounters, mostly in Puerto Rico. Chupacabras is the "goatsucker," a demon-like creature known for sucking the life out of family pets and small farm animals primarily in Latin America. This book appears to be the most complete and least sensational of the "pro-Chupa" books available. It includes ample footnotes and a bibliography. Whether or not the creature itself exists, this is a useful reference for the social phenomenon. -- Glenn Campbell

"Look, people have come here to tell me that the thing I saw was the Goatsucker that has been killing all these animals," a machete-wielding Peurto Rican farmer declares after hand-to-hand combat with a mysterious nocturnal predator. "Other's tell me it's the devil. They're both wrong. These things are extraterrestrials."
"...its eyes were lit in the darkness," another firsthand witness marvels. "Apparently it can 'turn them on' at night."
"...it was obviously quite capable of lifting 1,190 pounds, slaying 40 sheep simultaneously, and consuming three gallons of blood from each of them."
"...what they have done for me, according to them, has been unpleasant... I see that many contactees allow themselves to be manipulated... to be dazzled by small manifestations... once the contactee is hooks, there is no escape."
"A guard told me that section in there, it's unbelievable what they've got. Human experiments..."
