Explanation of Ratings Credibility = Very High: Contains an accurate listing of cases that were not explained by Blue Book. However, individual cases have their own separate credibility. In general, this catagory is a rating of the author's intellectual discipline and the strength of his argument (which are very high), not the veracity of his claims (which could be false in spite of the strong argument).

A listing of the 585 Blue Book "unknowns," the UFO sighting reports that the Air Force project had no ready explanation for. Sightings are listed in chronological order, from July 3, 1947, through Jan. 17, 1969. Each sighting gets a paragraph, including date, place, names of witnesses and a one-sentence description of the incident. This listing is unique in that witnesses names have been preserved, unliked the blacked-out reports currently available to the public. Includes a five-page intruduction by Don Berliner describing how the list was assembled.

The descriptions alone make interesting reading, as we try to figure our what features these sightings have in common. (One common theread we saw throughout these sightings was vehicle interference: Car engines would die in the presence of a UFO, then mysteriously re-start.) -- Glenn Campbell
