Credibility 1 Very Low Research Value 2 Low Cultural Interest 3 Moderate Visual Information 0 None Style 3 Functional Silliness 4 High Wow Factor 3 Interesting Bargain 3 Moderate Explanation of Ratings Credibility = Very Low: In general, this catagory is a rating of the author's intellectual discipline and the strength of his argument (which are very low), not the veracity of his claims (which could be true in spite of the weak argument). Style = Functional: Easy to read. Wow Factor = Interesting: Entertaining as fiction.

An American woman is taken in by a tribe of Aboriginals, who induct her into their secret ceremonies and teach her the ancient wisdom of their culture. Book is labelled and sold as fiction, but the author claims it is real, with only a few minor changes to protect the tribe. This book seems to be highly regarded by the U.S. New Age crowd, but is not well received in Australia, where Morgan is touted as a fraud by Aboriginals themselves. Personally, we are suspicious. We would accept this book only as wholly fictional. -- Glenn Campbell
