Most graphic software, in our opinion,
is a temporary fad destined for obsolescence.
Art, animation and music cannot compete with the
written
word for conveying information. This package,
however, has earned
a lot of high-powered endorsements from respected psi
researchers,
enough to convince us to take a look at it.
We now stamp it with our qualified approval.
Yes, this software may be obsolete in a few years,
but it is entertaining
enough for the time being.
The presentation is slick and spooky and
has the look and feel of the popular Myst and
Riven games. You start in a central room with
a series of doorways to explore. Most of the
"content" you
eventually come across
consists of video programs,
totalling over an hour and providing a documentary
overview of
psychic research and its history. There are also
audio clips,
text sections, a hypnotic "relaxation room" and a
couple of
classic psi experiments to play with.
You don't really need this software,
but it will keep you amused
for a few hours, and then you can pass it along to
someone else.
