Though UFOs have recently "landed" a significant place in
pop culture, they have made their presence known in the Maritimes for decades. In fact,
one of the earliest known sightings of a UFO was reported to
Judge Simeon Perkins in Nova Scotia in 1796.
Beginning with the 1950s,
Maritime UFO Files chronicles,
decade-by-decade, dramatic and unusual sightings of a veriety of mysterious, multi-shaped UFOs witnessed by pilots, ordinary citizens, and even RCMP officers.
These first-hand accounts, based on actual military documents
and RCMP reports, range from the observation of
unexplainable lights in the sky, to claims of abduction.
This book also devotes a chapter to the famous Shag Harbour
Incident of 1967 -- and event that remains
one of the most documented accounts of a UFO crash in modern history.
Don Ledger,
a pilot and civil servant, has been researching the UFO
phenomenon since 1992, and has appeared on local and national
television across North America. He resides in
Bedford, Nova Scotia.

Maritime UFO Files
This is one of the best and most informative books on the
activities of ufo's that i have ever read.The writer has
done his homework,and it's easily read,it kept me reading
till i finished it .There's a lot going on out there that
nobody knows about until someone puts it all together.I hope
to read more,I'm sorry i missed the author in the Greenwood
mall for his book signing(maybe next time).Thanks; C.U.Ltr.
