Describes the odd happenings in the San Luis Valley in south-central Colorado. You have your lights darting across the sky. You have your black helicopters. You have strange military maneuvers, bigfoot sightings, cattle mutilations, abductions, and an occasional devil sighting or two. The San Luis Valley has it all, and this book is your definitive guide to the area. In spite of the potentially lurid subject matter, O'Brien is restrained in his reporting, and avoids jumping to conclusions. Dozens of incidents and claims are faithfully recorded, mostly from 1989 through 1995, in a likeable book that is easy to read. (It is marred, however, by the lack of an index.) -- tm/gc

UFO Mystery having just finished reading "the mysterious valley" i was amazed at all the information involving ufo's, government helicopters and animal mutilations. it appears to me that most flying craft (ufo's) sighted are u.s. gov't models in the experimental stages. think about the technology we've attained in the last 40 years. i can't help but believe it was taken from so-called crashed flying saucers. there have been too many sightings by too many people and there are more and more authentic videos to back up sightings. when will the governments of the world open up and just level with us? -- Chuck 3/10/99 (#1)
