Robert Petro holds his BA in Philosphy and Masters Degree in
Psychology.
A self-made man, Robert J. Petro owns many small businesses
and is an acclaimed motivational speaker famous for his
prosperity seminars. He grew up in New York as an orphan,
dropped out of grade school, and didn't learn to read until
he was in his thirties; yet he has become wealthy, happy,
and successful in all areas of his life.
A popular guest on the media, Robert Petro has appeared on
numerous radio and TV shows from coast to coast, including,
The David Letterman Show, PM Magazine, Good Morning New York
and many others.
Robert Petro lives with his wife in Sedona, AZ.
A most unusual fellow! He couldn't read until he was in his 30s,
yet he went on to a Masters Degree in Psychology. I wonder what
university the degree was from.
Reading his website at http://www.RobertPetro.com/, one is
overwhelmed by the number of accolades he has received from the
media. I feel out of the loop that I have never heard of him
before.
On his main page it says, "Robert Petro was awarded the peace
medal by the United Nations Parapsychology Society."
Funny that I have never heard of that society. I didn't know
the U.N. was into that sort of thing. A metacrawler search for
"United Nations Parapsychology Society" turns up nothing.

This is how I heard of him. Someone named "Bob Fowler" at
bobf@kachina.net posted a link about the seminar to our psychic
training services page.
Since Petro seemed like an important psychic (judging from his
own page), I thought I should add a link page for him to
Ufomind. However, "Petro" smelled like a pseudonym to me, and
I prefer to create records under a person's "real" name.
So I did a little on-line research....

For a man as supposedly renowned as Mr. Petro, there is
surprisingly little on the net about him. A metacrawler search
for "Robert Petro" turned up no relevant documents apart from
Petro's own site. Here is his domain name registration...

The only DejaNews newsgroup posting I found was a brief third-party
reference to Petro as a psychic who had been tested by the government.

who appears to be Petro's #1 supporter.

There seems to be a lot of synchonicity between Fowler and Petro.
They have the same ISP and writing style. They live in the same
area (Sedona) and both offer on-line psychic readings.

reading at http://www.awake.net. This site has certain stylistic
resemblances to Petro's site. This domain is registered to one
"Lakshmi Narayan", also in Sedona.

On the awake.net site is a page on the "San Petro cactus," which
is supposed to have medicinal powers.

Petro-Fowler-Narayan-Kelf synchonicity, but for now I will list
them all under "Robert Fowler", with all the other names as
