Lynne Bishop's book, "A Fearful Symmetry: A True Story of Alien Intrusion into Human Lives," which is being serialized in "United Kingdom UFO Network" e-zine <ufo@holodeck.demon.co.uk>: JOHN: And at the end, when you returned to the house, how did you return? LYNNE: A couple of them escorted me back. We floated down from the craft, and they let me walk to the house. When we reached the house, they were a little behind me, and to either side. They didn't walk--they were gliding. When we reached the door, I just knew I was supposed to open it, and go inside. They stood behind me, on the little porch area, but they didn't go in. Mom was still frozen. JOHN: Does it seem like the same moment in time when you returned? LYNNE: No...It's pretty dark now. It would have been about 6:00 P.M. before, but now it's close to 8:00 P.M. JOHN: Did you see them or the craft leave? LYNNE: No. I think they told me not to watch. They told me to forget, and then shortly after that it was like Mom was finishing a conversation with me, and (my sister) came into the den, like she was completing her movement. None of us noticed anything; we just thought we had been watching the cats. JOHN: For two hours! LYNNE: (Laugh). Yeah. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx When UFO abductees come upon evidence that, for them, confirms the physical reality of their encounters, their reactions are invariably shock and depression. --Budd Hopkins, p. 24, "Witnessed: The True Story of the Brooklyn Bridge UFO Abductions" xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ...The process of data-dreaming (D-D) and the downloading sequences that experiencers are reporting are of significance, in my opinion. You should excuse the intentional pun, but it is designed to wake us up...People are supposed to share this D-D with others, because it serves as an alert to a process of mind technology that is going on in certain segments of society. Perhaps there were earlier instances of it, but they essentially went unreported because those very few who heard about it dismissed it out of hand as being a quirk of the dreamer's personality. But once again, the Internet is changing all that. Now it can be taken seriously. So the process is of primary importance because it fosters discussion about itself. And that is its primary purpose--to get people talking and sharing their observations and experiences regarding this very unusual dream technology... ...Currently, it is not important whether people "understand" and "grasp the meaning of" the symbols and text or not. What is important is that people accept that it is occurring. The reasons remain hidden for the moment, but I feel that in time the reasons for this process will become clearer. I have to believe that the large volumes of data which seem to be downloaded in the D-D environment represent some kind of repository of knowledge, either human, alien or otherwise, which may be in danger of being lost, destroyed or altered. The whole process reminds me of the film FAHRENHEIT 451 where books as holders of data have become illegal and as such, people must now start the task of keeping the information alive which the books used to contain... Since they speed by the participant so fast, it's hard for us to make sense of them. At the speeds and volumes being reported, they could very well be English text since we are English speakers. No one seems yet to know which alphabet is being employed. Until that data can be accessed at some conscious and comprehensible level, it seems to me to be a wild goose chase to attempt to decode anything. If someone can produce even a small sample of the D-D material, then we will have something to go on. Now if the material is being sent in an alien alphabet--and there have to be a good number of those in existence--then we don't have a clue. We'll need a modern-day Rosetta Stone to make any progress at all. We have no idea what constitutes an alien society nor even how they view themselves, let alone their internal references in literature or technical manuals. Even if we could take the alien symbols and attach English sound patterns, there is no guarantee that it would mean anything, to wit: hwn+ng+ef+tn+ql=hwnngeftnql--what does that mean? I don't know... --discussion from the X-Contact list xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx UFO-SPECIFIC SITES: "Saucers Secret: Antigravity" (written by Maj. Donald E.
