The title suggests an abduction book, but Uninvited Guests falls more
into the nuts-and-bolts catagory of sightings and government
cover-ups. It is one of the classic UFO reference works that belongs
on the same shelf as Above Top Secret and The UFO Cover-Up. Hall has
been involved with ufology from the beginning. As Assistant Director
of NICAP in the 1960s, he assembled an impressive compendium, The UFO
Evidence, which this book is a follow-up to. Uninvited Guests is
packed with incidents, references and government documents. Half of
the book is appendixes, including many UFO reports by government
agencies. There is lots of research data here. -- Glenn
FROM THE BOOK JACKET
In 1965, Richard Hall, then Acting Director of a civilian UFO group in
Washington, D.C., was questioned by a CIA agent and given a direct
telephone line to his office using it to report some high quality UFO
sightings, as requested. Many years later he used the Freedom of
Information and Privacy acts to request CIA files mentioning him by
name. Some previously known documents were obtained after an appeal,
but the CIA refused to release the security clearance "paper trail."

¶"Uninvited Guests" is probably one of the best books on
the subject that I have read so far this year. It is a book
that should appeal to both the seasoned Ufologist as well
as serve as good background material for the novice.
Richard has a talent for communicating complex
situations and technical concepts to the non-technical
person. His prose is factual, yet compelling.
