Dr. John Alexander's expertise in the study and application of Psi
phenomena has been recognized internationally for the past several
decades. He entered the US Army as a private and rose through the
ranks retiring as a full colonel. During his career, he held many
key positions in special operations, intelligence, and research and
development. He also served as Chief of Advanced Hunman Technology,
US Army Intelligence and Security Command and is past president of
the International Association for Near-Death Studies. After
retiring from the Army, he joined Los Alamos National Laboratory
where he was instrumental in developing the concept of Non-Lethal
Defense. As a program manager, he conducted non-lethal warfare
briefings at the highest levels of government including the White
House Staff, National Security Council, Director of Central
Intelligence, and senior Defense Officials.
Dr. Alexander organized and chaired the first three major
conferences on non-lethal warfare and served as a US delegate to
three NATO studies on the topic. As a member of the Council on
Foreign Relations non-lethal warfare study, he was instrumental
in influencing the report that is credited with causing the
Department of Defense to create a formal Non-Lethal Weapons Policy
in July 1996. Currently he is the Director for Scientific Liaison
for the National Institute for Discovery Science in Las Vegas,
Nevada, serves as a consultant to the Office of the Secretary of
Defense and is a research consultant to the California Institute
for Human Science. His forthcoming book _Future War: The Non-
Lethal Factor_, St. Martin's Press, 1998.
