I am writing regarding the Torrance, CA, newspaper article on Norio Hayakawa's Area 51 rally wich recently appeared in the Ufomind Mailing List. According to the article: >"Stories about alien spacecraft and UFOs surround the military test >facility in Nevada known as Area 51, but Norio Hayakawa doesn't pay >any attention to them. To him, they just cloud the issue. > >The Torrance resident's interest in the long-secret facility 90 miles >from Las Vegas has to do with more down-to-earth concerns: toxic >pollution; the possibility of weapons tests posing a danger to people >far, far away from the remote location; the potential for the abuse of >the technology that may be under wraps at the site." I remain unconvinced that Mr. Hayakawa is preoccupied with "more down-to-earth concerns." Here is a quote from Norio himself, taken directly from his webpage (http://eagle-net.org/groomwatch/): "I am convinced that a secret international network of elitists "cabal" (ever since 1947, "coincidentally" or not, just one year prior to the time of modern-day re-establishment of the State of Israel) has been preparing to stage a phony "extraterrestrial" event in the very near future to create worldwide panic in order to bring about an urgency for the New World Order upon the ashes of American sovereignty." This promises to be quite an interesting rally, indeed. And this is just a sample! Mr. Hayakawa seems to be up to his ears in conspiracies, ETs, UFOs, and just about everything else you could imagine. If I had one tenth of Norio's "down-to-earth concerns" I'd be barricading myself away in a hidden bunker full of weapons, canned food, and all my loved ones... My advice: Stear clear of Area 51 on June 6. I wouldn't touch Mr. Hayakawa's rally with a ten mile pole. Sincerely, -Scott C.
