The current hearings are for the renewal of the Nellis Range withdrawal, which does NOT include the 6 x 10 block of land known as "Area 51". At the beginning of the process I requested a specific township/range land description for the renewal, and no Area 51 land is on it. Area 51 was withdrawn separately and is apparently governed by a separate process. (It could also be a secret part of the Nellis Renewal, but that is only speculation.) The Nellis Range Renewal DOES include Freedom Ridge and White Sides, if that makes a difference. If the objections to that withdrawal had no effect 3 years ago, they won't work now.
