The joke, of course, is that no one crosses Area 51, and the reporter (from the Salt Lake Tribune) never checked with the Air Force to confirm the story. It is surprising that the Sun got suckered by this.

He's getting a bit defensive, don't you think? Reading between the lines, we suspect that religion has more to do with this modern expedition than history or archaology, and we expect it to be as incompetent and ill-fated as the original.
