Subject: Amnesty?
ON THE QUESTION OF AMNESTY FOR THOSE INVOLVED IN THE UFO COVER-UP
On January 5th on the national syndicated radio program, Art Bell Coast
To Coast, Washington lobbyist Steve Bassett and CSETI Director Steven Greer,
M.D. advocated that listeners sign a petition. That Petition is addressed to
Congress and requests Congress to hold open hearings on UFO evidence, and to
grant amnesty to all involved in the UFO Cover-Up.
I certainly support the call for Congress to hold Hearings this Spring,
allowing current and former government officials and other expert witnesses to
testify to UFO reality and extraterrestrial contact with humans.
However, on the matter of granting amnesty to those involved in the UFO
Cover-Up, certain important distinctions must be made. I have conferred with
Command Sgt.-Major Bob Dean on this matter, and his views and mine are the same.
We both support granting amnesty to all those involved in the UFO
Cover-Up, to release them from their security oath requirements concerning UFO
matters (with the exception of not disclosing advanced weapons technology). And
we support amnesty for nonviolent activities undertaken, under color of
constitutional authority, to conduct UFO information-gathering and
information-suppression activities.
BUT neither Bob Dean nor I support amnesty for serious crimes against
persons, done to maintain the UFO Cover-Up. Examples of serious crimes, for
which there can be no amnesty, include: murder, "disappearances", rape,
felonious physical assault, involuntary detention for purposes of coercive
invasive experimentation, and ruinous slander/defamation of character.
As Cmd. Sgt.-Major Dean put it, "If we grant amnesty for such serious
crimes, it would open the door for future abuse." I heartily concur.
I therefore urge all those involved in the Petition effort to make sure
that any Petition you sign or support does not extend to amnesty for serious
criminal behavior against persons.
We need government insiders of good will freed up from red tape, so
that they can speak plainly about UFO and ET reality.
We need full disclosure of governmental UFO activities, for the
eventual national healing that will come from a government restored to
truthfulness on the UFO/ET matter.
But we equally need the felons who have preyed on innocent civilians
under false color of "national security authorization" to be held accountable
for their criminal acts in a court of law.
