Hon. Dan Burton, Chair
House Committee on Government Reform and Oversight
2157 Rayburn House Office Building
Washington, DC 20515
Dear Congressman Burton:
As you are undoubtedly aware, a full page Petition announcement is
about to appear in the Washington Post, calling on the Congress to hold open
Congressional Hearings on the matter of the Extraterrestrial presence. Further,
you are aware of a private briefing provided to Congress members and staff last
April 15, facilitated by CSETI's Dr. Steven Greer, in which testimony came from
astronauts, high-ranking military officers and senior government officials
concerning their witnessing of UFO/ET reality within the scope of their
governmental duties.
The Cold War is over. The inordinate secrecy culture of that Cold War
needs to end. We need to return to our founding principles of a government by,
of and for the people. This requires a fully-informed electorate.
I am writing you to urge you to convene your Committee to hold hearings
on the evidence for UFO reality, on extraterrestrial contact, and on a lack of
forthcomingness by relevant governmental agencies about information they have
on these matters. The healing of the deep distrust by the citizenry of our
government can take a large step forward with these Hearings. I urge you to
contact Dr. Greer and Command Sgt.-Major Robert Dean, and have them assemble
the high-level witnesses to testify at those Hearings. Have your staff prepare
the necessary Congressional immunity paperwork to provide these witnesses
immunity from security laws and oaths relating to their testimony.
I expect that I can additionally provide an extremely high-level
government official from an Above Top Secret USAP subcommittee of the National
Security Council, if he is afforded the necessary immunity. Have your staff
contact me as you prepare hearings.
Please be a leader in this process of open government now.
Thank you, sir.
Sincerely,
Richard Boylan, Ph.D.
