Dispatches from Richard Boylan
From: "Richard J. Boylan, Ph.D."Subject: Is Glen Campbell next to be sued for internet attacks on ACC? Date: Sun, 23 May 1999 21:32:44 -0700 Interactive News Service! Rumors about Lawsuits against Michael Norris / Isur.com and Glen Campbell / ufomind.com floating around ACC this week... Posted By: Sandy <sandy@compamerica.com> Date: Monday, 24 May 1999, at 12:00 a.m. In Response To: FYI: samples of "Isur.Com" message thread devoted to the loss of lawsuit by Lamphere (Sandy) Reportedly, as the insanity boils over at isur.com and ufomind.com, rumors that ACC is starting legal steps to make isur.com/america.net and ufomind.com [Glen Campbell]/the Area 51 Bookstore, Sightings.com, David Oates/Reverse Speech Enterprises and Computing Canada financially responsible for the anti-competitive postings on their respective BBS's and web sites, are flowing once again in and throughout the computer industry. ACC, well known throughout the computer industry for not taking 'spit' from the likes of IBM, Dell or, in fact, anyone, has not made any public commentary on the probability of such legal steps. I asked Jack Shulman, ACC's CEO, for comment. He stated: "While its quite clear that Glen Campbell and Michael Norris are legally responsible for this anti-competitive hurricane emitting from their web sites, David Oates is responsible for his nonsense and George Soltys for his (under the pen name "Tom Watson") ...as to the question regarding any further lawsuits filed by ACC's attorneys: I have no further comment." -- Things do not bode well for those who tried to hurt ACC.
