JOE FIRMAGE, USWEB FOUNDER: It is definitely painful to go through what I have in the past
few days. I never referred to the words visitation or alien in that experience that I did in fact have
about 15 months ago. It was a very unusual experience, but I would compare it more to a
near-death experience.

- News article - By Steve Fidel - Published: 1/17/99 - Source: Deseret News (Newspaper) <1/21/99 #24>

as the 20th century approached. ''Planets will be visited, messages communicated,
acquaintances and friendships formed, and the sciences vastly extended and cultivated,''
Pratt wrote in 1855; and that is precisely what Firmage wants to do.

And another thing ...
Whatever happened to the "real soon now" announcement that Firmage promised by scientists in cutting edge government labs that gravity can be engineered, that they were just polishing up the loose ends on their paper before releasing it? Was this another cold fusion-style hoax?

Firmage "contact" nothing new
The "contact" Mr. Firmage had is a classic "hypnopompic" experience, occurring between sleep and waking. Thousands of people have had similar experiences. The "entities" tap directly into the subconscious AND conscious minds of the percipients and tell them what they want to hear, often sending them on ego-driven, "Messianic" missions to spread "the word." "The word" is often their own wishful thinking.
