Regarding "Mars Global Surveyor" - Latest First

Myth or real fact? The MGS cameras has destroyed the face-like aspect of the Face, but yet remains the curious shape and symmetry of the structure basement, unusual for a natural object. I believe the case of the Face merits further investigation. If it is matter of time to discover an alien relic, and knowing that Mars had in its early ages the conditions to support life, why do not may be NOW? -- Manuel Gómez (mgomez@entel.cl ) 11/8/99 (#2)

End of a myth The cameras on the MGS have much better resolution than the ones the Viking orbiter had. Recent images confirm that the Face is, alas, a natural structure. I want to believe that the Face is a relic, left by a civilization, indigenous or transient. However, I'm not too discouraged.
