"Orthoteny supposedly showed that when large numbers of UFO
sightings were plotted on a map the sightings fell along
straight lines. However, after several years computer analysis
showed that similar effect could be produced with random points.
However, Orthoteny was an attempt to understand UFOs and
investigate them in a systemic manner."
