Mormonism
The predominant religion of Utah and rural Nevada. The focus here

- A comprehensive archive of accounts by former Mormons
of their experiences
"This site has two sections. The first section is a collection of
stories of those who have left
the Mormon church. The list of stories of those who left the Mormon
church follows this brief
introduction. The stories are in the order they have been sent to
me with the most recent at the
bottom. The second section contains text files on various topics concerning
Mormonism."
- A
Critical and Satirical, But Not Really Hostile Look at Mormonism
"This page is intended to be a fair presentation of Mormonism.
It is by no means an objective
one, however, because Mormonism is too emotional and personal to dispassionately
analyze and
still capture its true flavor. I am making this page as an effort
to continue the investigation into
Mormonism which I was invited to undertake by two Elders from Utah
nearly 10 years ago.
Also, I am trying to provide an accurate view of the Church from an
unusual perspective, that of
an ex-missionary turned "apostate." I don't hate the Church, but I
don't believe in it, either."
- Those
Wacky Mormons
I was born into the Mormon Church at the tender age of 0. By a remarkable
coincidence,
both of my parents just happened to be Mormon. I'm not sure if this
had any bearing on
the religion I was brought up in. I only mention it for the sake of detail.
My father was born into the Church, but my mother converted in order
to marry him
(for those not in the know, it's rather taboo for a Mormon to marry
a non-Mormon).
My mother, raised in a strict Southern Baptist household, would later
lament that she had
traded one patriarchal, domineering religion for another. But, at
the time of my parent's
wedding, it seemed like a good idea, strange temple ceremonies notwithstanding.
So there I was, a young, impressionable tyke, with a fair degree of
intelligence and a
lifetime's supply of gullibility. Let the indoctrination begin!

Church on Masturbation

Web search for "Mormon Masturbation"
"We are taught that our bodies are temples of God, and are to be clean
so that the Holy
Ghost may dwell within us. Masturbation is a sinful habit that robs
one of the Spirit and creates
guilt and emotional stress. It is not physically harmful unless practiced
in the extreme. It is a
habit that is totally self-centered, and secretive, and in no way
expresses the proper use of the
procreative power given to man to fulfill eternal purposes. It therefore
separates a person from
God, and defeats the gospel plan."
