"The Green Fireballs generally appeared from 1948 to 1951. An
official investigation, Project Twinkle, 1949 to 1951
issued inconclusive statements. Dr. Lincoln La Paz of the
University of New Mexico and Dr. Joseph Kaplan were two of
the major investigators. Sightings of Green Fireballs are
found in fewer numbers before 1948 and after 1951."
