Ive heard a lot about Springheel Jack...
Ive heard he was a killer in the 1800s. He bore long fingers, Like claws, And a blue lantern on a necklace around his neck. He had a hideous face and red glowing eyes. He had breath of blue fire which he would use to scorch the faces of his victims before leaping off in bounds of up to 20 feet.

Jack wasn't spring heeled
I know that Jack didn't have springs in his boots because the Germans tried that experiment and most broke their ankles. Plus, fire eaters can't generate fire in their mouthes, they have to spit alcohol onto a burning stick or match. Jack did it in his mouth.

Springheel Jack: Prankster
Quite simply, Springheel Jack was a harmless menace. All he ever did was jump out on people, from the shadows, and scare them. He would then run off, avoiding capture by leaping over high walls. As all the reported sightings have now been distorded beyond thier original simplicity, it's easy to jump to ridiculous conclusions. He was probably an out of work acrobat who liked to scare people witless.
