- The Randle Report: UFOs in the 90s: Chapter 4 (24 pages) is an analysis of Ed Walters' Gulf Breeze photos. Randle: "Ed Walters, playing a somewhat admitted practive joke, found himself the center of attention, and he loved it. The fact that there was nothing to the sightings meant nothing to him. He grabbed the spotlight as quickly as he could, and has done everything possible to stay in it. But his story, from the beginning, was a hoax." [gc]

Regarding "Ed Walters" - Latest First

The Truth Eludes Him
I was managing editor of the Pensacola News Journal and interviewed Ed Walters when we found the model UFO in the attic of his old home. Ed admitted to the fact the he was really Ed Hanson and also admitted the hot car incident mentioned above. I believe UFOs exist (my father was one of the pilots in the Nash-Fortenberry sightings in July 1952 over Norfolk, Va.) but I think Ed is nothing but a prankster.

I knew "Ed Walters" over 30 years ago when his name was Eddie Hanson. He
graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Jacksonville, Fl. in 1964. He
worked part time at the county hospital, Duval Medical Center, while working
his way through college. At one time the FBI was looking for him in
connection with stolen cars. To the best of my knowledge, he was caught and
served time. His Mother still resides in Jacksonville.
Just thought you might like additional information on him.
