Nessie, the need for dignified enquiry
Shine and Martin (1988) concluded in their symposium on the monster that sonor anomolies '...would seem to merit further enquiry' (p195) Such enquiry is essential in preventing Nessie from disappering into obscuirty. She belongs to that culture which fuels deep rooted feeling. However we should take care that monster enquiry does not become monster hunt. If Nessie is indeed a sentinet being she deserves the same rights that should be bestowed upon all living creatures; the right to live unmolested and in peace. We should not give up our enquires into what could be something uniquely beautiful but respect it and learn that man and monster should live in harmoney togeather.

The Surgeon's Photograph....
To All:
I strongly suggest evryone examine the infamous "Surgeon's Photograph--the most famous purported photograph of Nessie to date--very carefully. If one really examines it from a fresh perspective, one will notice an uncanny resemblance to a Human hand and arm.
I assert that the "Nessie" in the photograph is, indeed, nothing more than the hand and arm of the surgeon's or the surgeon's accomplice(depending on whom really took the photo). it's a very good hoax, though--the answer is so simple no one realizes it.
