Photos show Kecksburg fireball was a meteor
Michigan State Univ. astronomers used photos, 100 eyewitness reports and seismic recording of sonic boom to find the path, which fell steeply over SW Ontario toward the NE. They found an orbit to the asteroid belt, source of many bright meteors. Speed was twice that of returning space debris. See: Vol 61, no 4, Journal of Royal Ast. Soc. of Canada. All 1965 published and broadcast accounts can be explained by the meteor, searches for its debris and a prank by teenagers who flashed camera strobe, creating "blue lights". See my chapter, "Old Solved Mysteries: The Kecksburg Incident" in THE UFO INVASION, Prometheus Books, 1997.
