God, the universe, and technology I'm confused by those who think if you believe in "aliens" or others in the universe, that means you DON'T believe in "god". As for you non-Zecharia Sitchin readers, it's quite possible, that the "god(s)" in the Bible are NOT the creator(s) of the universe. Having the "god(s)" in the bible be the true creator of the universe would leave out a lot of the "middle game" in this chess game which is the understanding of the universe. Sagans Gaps In one of the reviews,Carl Sagan is said to have commented about his gap theory where we evoke God to explain any gaps we can't explain. The same huge gaps exist in the theory of evolution, where "missing link" is the catch word to "explain" scientific lack of explanation. If there was tiny spec of mass before the "big bang" how did it get "there" and "where"? -- artee 8/11/97 (#6)

apples and oranges The negative comment listed above is comparing apples to oranges. The individual in question set up a straw man argument and then passed out books of matches.
