Abbreviations and Source

Used in Ufologists Index
Primary = The person's own primary URL, either their personal web page or that of the organization they are primarily affiliated with

Email = A link to an existing document that shows this person's email address. (Could be old.)

Address = A link to an existing web document showing the postal address for this person or his organization. (Could be old.)

WebAv = A web search with the Altavista search engine, using search terms that have yielded a productive leads in the past. Users are encouraged to modify the search criteria, and report to us with the URL when they get better results.

WebMt = A web search using the Metacrawler search engine.

WebIn = A web search using the Infoseek search engine.

UseIn = A newsgroup search through Infoseek.

UseGrp = Direct link to a Usenet newsgroup strongly associated with this person. (i.e. One on which they frequently post or are frequently discussed.)

Bio = A biography of this person (from a source other than the ones listed below). We try to list only the best biography.

BioA = A profile page of the person from the Who's Who of Ufologists on Andy's UFO Page Offers a sketchy bio on each major character. Occasionally useful, but the main list can be unwieldy. Mirrored in Italy

BioH = This person's entry in Nick Humphries UFO Guide. This comprehensive encyclopedia of ufology lists most of the major characters, along with their connections to others. The big file size (87k) can be difficult to work with, though. Mirror | UK Mirror

BioI = This person's entry in ISCNI Ufologists FAQ. Gives a paragraph and contact address for each of six abduction researchers.

BioU = This person's entry in Ufoclopedia by Mikael Lindqvist. Information is generally sketchy here. Used only if no better bio can be found.

Local = Unsorted documents stored on the UFOMIND server. Could include photos, articles and other documents that we have not yet linked to an index page. Uses browser's "FTP" mode.

Article = Article written by this person.

Report = Report about this person or his work.

Crit = A document critical of this person.

Index = Index of documents concerning this person.

Intvw = Interview with the person.

Yahoo = A listing in Yahoo on a topic relevant to this person.

People whose names are in bold type are assumed to be living. Others are deceased. Hot keys for a person's name are links to UFOMIND's local page on them.
