UFO Crash on Plain of San Augustin

Claims that a UFO (or something) crashed on the Plain of San Augustin around the time of the Roswell incident in 1947.

The Plain of San Augustin is located west of Soccoro, NM, and is now the home of the Very Large Array radio telescope, as seen in the movie Contact.

See Lonnie Zamora for a separate case in which a patrolman encountered an egg-shaped craft in Soccoro, NM, in 1964.

Barney Barnett, and the Magdalena, NM area

Our family ranch was near the San Augustine site.My grandmother talked about Barney Barnett telling her he saw a body and that the military took it away. She also saw a "formation of UFOs" over Magdalena. Townsfolk ,including state police,watched for hours during the day. Any native New Mexican with experiences with UFO/aliens/military(50's-60's)or chemicals/decontamination suits in SW NM, please write-personal interest only.
