Regarding "Green River Launch Complex" - Latest First

Bad Location for a New Area 51 In 1974 I was a Pershing Missile Crewman. The Pershing Missile needed virtually no infrastructure and so the Green River Launch Complex was perfect for it. While there we lived in trailers. Using this rundown facility for a top secret testing site would be downright stupid. Being just a few miles from a major interstate highway and within plain view of the town of Green River makes it a very public area indeed. -- Mark Othoudt (marko1@se.mediaone.net ) 1/16/98 (#7)

Money talks in a run down town I grew up in Green River and used to run around the old missle base there and i can tell you if anything is going to happen there, All the Goverment would have to do is buy the town off and I can tell you it would be real easy at that since most just scrap by as it is. -- William Broad (bill@smsi.com ) 11/12/97 (#6)

Area 51 Not at Green River or Nellis Testing Facility I have worked for the United States Navy for 7 years at the Pine Gap Facility in the Northern Territory, Australia. Nick from Downunder, is not as far off as some might believe. the Navy and the NSC is not as dumb as you people may believe. No UFO research has gone on in Nevada for at least 15 years. good use for a desolate place!!!!!!! Why should anyone care if the desolate land that surrounds Green River, Utah be used for a secret air force base or anything else related to the military? There is only one town on I-70 between there and Grand Junction, Co. So if there aren't any other towns out there besides Moab,and Monticello why not??? -- coolernerdly 9/18/97 (#4)
