Hi Linda, Weather balloons come in all sorts of sizes and colors so there's no telling or giving a set pattern or "type" here. Also, some balloons, depending on their altitude and material they're made of, expand to up to three times their "normal" size. One must also count for the fact that wind directions change and vary at different altitiudes. At 500 feet the wind might be blowing south, but at 600 it might be going North! Hope this helps.
