Subject: BUFORA BLOWS IT!

	In what some outsiders have called a 'sad move' and others simply
suicidal, Philip Mantle has been made Press Officer for the British UFO
Research Association (BUFORA). After selling photographs which weren't his
to a picture library, using BUFORA as a vehicle for the promotion of the
Santilli Alien Video, and making BUFORA a figure of derision everywhere,
BUFORA Council decided that the best thing they could do was promote Mr
Mantle to Press Officer, where he could do no further damage to the
Association.

	The remote-viewer who observed this charade taking place at
BUFORA's Saturday afternoon tea-party reports that only one person had the
sense to vote against him despite many of those present having privately
said they would earlier. Apparently the sound of 'bottles going' could be
heard as far north as Watford. A document previously circulated to Council
members and entitled 'Why I Should Be More Important' seemed to have
swayed the nits of the round table into going along with all his
suggestions.

	BUFORA have previously stated corporately they believe the
Santilli film to be a fake. Philip Mantle believes it to be genuine and
has a book out this spring dealing with this very matter. The possibility
of any conflict of interest has been vehemently denied by a BUFORA
spokesdroid who intoned, "We are a professional body (like the Santilli
Alien) and reject totally any suggestion that Philip would confuse either
issue."

	He then sniggered loudly, spluttered 'Not!' and went back to his
copy of 'Classic Saucer'.
