I think Chris was confining himself to Dr. P's work so I don't see the
content of this excerpt as representative of omission on his part.

I'm still particularly interested in a formal definition of an
'earthlight,' one that can be used on time/location coded data.  My present
understanding is that earthlights are _very_ transient, but how transient?
Twenty seconds, twenty minutes, twenty days?

Are they bound by the characteristics of the ambient seismic activity
producing them or can they transit longer distances?
