Subject: Odyssey File Request Processor - Complete File

The Odyssey Fringe Science Research Network now supports an
Internet-based File Request capability.

What does that mean?
--------------------

It means that you can now request Odyssey files using only an
Internet e-mail message and without long distance charges.

How does it work?
-----------------

First, you write an e-mail message with the correctly formatted
request (see below) and send it to:

        <sjpowell@access.digex.net>.

Next, wait for the e-mail confirmation message that your request was
received. Lastly, wait for your new file (or an error message if
the request was incorrectly formatted) to arrive in your InBox. All
requested files are uuencoded using MIME. Simply save the message as
a file with an .MME extension, uudecode that file to get your
requested file. (Most newer e-mail readers will automatically
    decode the file for you.)

How do I format the file request?
---------------------------------

The Odyssey File Request message is just like any other e-mail
message you might write and send. From your Mail Reader select New
    Message. Address the message to:

        <sjpowell@access.digex.net>.

Now, you have to write the Subject line very carefully. Here are
    the rules.

    Subject must contain:

                (OFR) (email.address) (ffffffff.eee)

    The three sections are:

                        A) Action Code.
                        B) Return Address.
                        C) Filename.

    A) Action Code.

The Action Code is used to specify a remote action at the
Odyssey Fringe Science BBS. To initiate an Odyssey File Request
action the Action Code is 'OFR' (no quotes). The Action Code
must be enclosed in parentheses, it is not case-sensitive.

                Correct File Request Action Codes:

                                                        (OFR)
                                                        (ofr)

    B) Return Address.

Use one space to separate the Action Code from the Return
Address. The Return Address is your Internet e-mail address, it
can contain no spaces. This must be your complete e-mail
address. Do not bracket your e-mail address with '<' or '>'.
Your e-mail address must be enclosed in parentheses.

                Example: (sjpowell@access.digex.net)

    C) Filename.

Use one space to separate the Return Address from the Filename.
This is the full name of the file you want to request. Use only
the complete filename. The filename must be from 1 to 8
characters long, followed by a '.' (period), followed by the
extension. The extension must be no more or no less than 3
characters long. The filename must be enclosed in parentheses.

                Example: (coolfile.zip)

You may leave the body of the e-mail message blank (the Odyssey File
Request Processor does not read it). Now send your message.

    Processor.

Can I use wildcards in the requested Filename? No way.

How many files can I request? As many as you like, but try to be
