Philadelphia 'incident'

Subject: Philadelphia 'incident'

I am trying to find information about an incident that supposedly
took place in Philadelphia, PA, perhaps in the 1950's, where a navy
ship and crew were subjected to an experiment like in Star Trek
wherein humans are transported and beamed elsewhere.

Is there any documentation of this incident available on the
internet?
